I know OP says “we just boarded”, so there would be signal. But, as soon a the plane gains altitude, there’s no more signal.
The more I look, the weirder it gets. FUCKING MACINTOSH?
He looks like the thumbs up boy from the ancient meme.
I never said it had to be an app or a card in your phone’s wallet, although it’s not a bad idea. Passports have chips now. I just think it doesn’t need to be a booklet anymore.
Nah. My mother had to stay more than two hours in a line in Atlanta’s immigration because the system went down.
Why are passports still a booklet? Everything is digital now. We don’t need stamps or visas in the passport anymore. It serves no purpose.
I think the principal is the white bearded guy. I don’t see the G-man being the enemy, because it’s him who wake up Freeman in HL2. “Wake up, Mr Freeman, wake up and smell the ashes.”
In HL1 I’ve always seen him as the corporate fucker who is trying to save the company.
This is even more interesting if you notice that Americans use fractions a lot, maybe even more than countries with metric system. It’s 1/2 pound, 5/8 inch, 3/4 mile and so on. Countries with metric system just change the units. Typically we don’t say 1/2 km, we say 500m.
Pikachu face comes to mind.
Typically 2, sometimes 5 and rarely 20.
I don’t know if it’s the same that I watched, but it’s super interesting. They simulated a negotiation for a load of cheese. For what I could understand, one says the price and extends his hand. The other slaps the hand if he doesn’t agree. And they keep doing this until the price is agreed.
Wow, those channels go so inland that I’d take a day only to get to the ocean.
I’ve told this story before, about our last fax server.
Work -> PDF -> send fax -> receive fax -> PDF -> work
Police in Brazil likes to give interesting names to their operations. But I don’t think they know what that order means, because they’re going after car thieves.
I don’t know exactly why. A quick search told me that “because the people wanted that way”. In Brazil, we don’t use the area code for local calls, so, if they created a new area code for the same city (like we have in Montreal, the 514 and the 438), it would cause confusion.
If you like double entendres, you’ll love @lyndsaydotw on Instagram. She reads children books that are not exactly for children. Some are stupidly funny.
My first thought was “either Hollywood lied to me (SHOCKING) or the current 747 has a series of defenses, flares, electronic countermeasures, and what not that this new plane doesn’t have”.
“It’s in my land, it’s mine now. “
